Most notably, trained by North America’s Largest Private Homebuilder- Mattamy homes, before founding ChangeUp Landscaping 2022
I served as a grading specialist for Mattamy Homes, the largest privately owned homebuilder in North America. Why does that matter for your backyard?
At Mattamy, I worked on master-planned communities where precision wasn't an option—it was the standard. Grading support for for thousands of homes taught me how to master complex drainage, soil stability, and land contouring. We bring that same "big project" engineering and award-winning standard of excellence to every local residential lawn we touch.

Why the name Changeup Landscaping LLC?

The name ChangeUp Landscaping is inspired by my long and memorable career in baseball. As the owner- Krystien Johnson-Battilana, it was important to me to carry a piece of that experience into my current journey. The subtle nod in our name and logo serves as a personal reminder of the sport I once played at both the college and professional levels.
Today, my focus is on building a business that earns the respect of our community through hard work, integrity, and ethical practices. My goal is to create a company in West Michigan that is not only recognized for quality craftsmanship but also trusted and valued by every client we serve.
